Fix you

The song, "Fix you", by Coldplay, is one of my all time favorite songs. Mikayla and I used to listen to this when one of her grandparents would be sick or when she was having a hard day. It has always been a great song with a lot of meaning. 

My brother has been sending me songs to cheer me up along this crazy adventure. He sent me this song and now it has such deep meaning. 

Joey wants to take this cancer from me. His biggest fear is not that I can beat this... It is having to watch his love go through the pain. He said to me yesterday that the most frustrating part is that he is a man. Men fix things. That is what they do. And he can't do a damn thing to fix this. He can only be strong and hold me as we put our trust in others to fix me. And that takes a lot if faith. 

I was telling my brother this exchange that Joey and I had and he said that was why he sent me the song. He knows that my dad would do anything to fix me and that he will definitely try! And my dad is a fixer.....The Macgyver of electrical engineers! And Scott feels the same frustration. These men feel hopeless in their ability to fix what is wrong... Duct tape just won't do in this situation!

I guess it just touches my soul that they care so deeply. I can't listen to the song without crying...
